Terence Kay

Terence Kay was born & raised in East London, an avid lover of music from a very early age. He would use his pocket money to buy records to play on his dad’s belt drive turntable, it wasn’t long before he had built up a nice collection!

It was at the age of 14 that Terence bought his first pair of turntables / decks (Technics 1210s), soon after an opportunity come up to host his own radio show on London’s Risk FM. The bookings & local residentcies soon followed & he hasn’t looked back since.

Terence has always moved with the times to stay relevant, starting on vinyl, moving onto the CD age and eventually evolving to the digital era.

Over the years, Terence has played at many venues across London / Essex and the surrounding areas. Also being lucky enough to play abroad in Kavos / Malia / Pathos & Ayia Napa.

Fast forward 28 years, putting the pirate radio scene behind him, Terence has an established weekly radio show on the legendary dance music station: Shine 879 DAB, covering the South East of England on digital radio / via Smart Speaker & many other online platforms.

He currently has regular sets at some Essex’s & London’s busiest venues including: Vault (Shenfield) / Yates (Romford) / Vertigo (Hornchurch).
