Jose Saavedra

Based in Liverpool but originally from Hertfordshire, Jose’s passion for House music started in 1987 at the age of 11 when he bought his first 12-inch record (Krush – House Arrest). In the ‘90s Jose immersed himself in the rave scene going to iconic events such as United Dance, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Labyrinth and many London club nights. He also started mixing and performed at events around the South East, London and overseas.

Jose has a weekly radio show on Shine 879 DAB (Wednesdays 10pm – 12 am) where he plays the latest House & Tech House releases, he has also been a guest on a number of large radio stations .

Jose’s production journey started during the lockdown of 2020, his style focuses on House and Tech House blended with Old Skool inspired sounds, but his appreciation for a wider range of genres influences his production and he also produces Vocal Funky House.

In Jan 2022, Jose’s first track ‘Tides’ was released on Whore House Records and reached 71 in the Beatport Top 100 Funky House chart. Since then, he has released over 35 tracks across labels such as Cleveland City, Toolbox House, House Me Up Records, World Sound, Onto the Groove, Underground Hype, Proper Decent Choons, Big Speaker Music, Disco Balls, Bunny Clan Records & MixSingh Records. Many of his tracks have entered the Beatport Hype Top 100 chart as well as being featured on a number of albums.

Jose’s tracks have been supported by DJs such as Slipmatt, Jon Pleased Wimmin and other high profile DJs and they have been played on a number of radio stations including Shine 879, Centreforce, Eruption, Indemand Radio, FunkySX, Select Radio, Unity, Rise Radio, Cyndicut, House Music Radio and many more, he has also had a number of tracks featured on BBC Introducing.
